First it was FEMA, now it is the Clinton campaign, so I can’t help but wonder how many other politicians are trying to deceive the public.

(Could you hear the sarcasm?)

Why is it a shock that people are planting questions?  I’m going to bet it has happened for many, many, many years - pretty much since the press conference was invented.  It may not have been as blatant as handing a teenager a question on an index card, but a little nudge in the right direction would mean more opportunities to ask more questions.  It is the ole “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.”

Don’t get me wrong.  This is in no way excusing Clinton of doing what she did (and I’m not buying the whole idea of her NOT knowing).  It is high time that all people, and I’m including politicians in that description, learned that other people’s actions are no excuse for our own.  Each person has to be responsible for his self (or her self).

At the same time, the press (and the general public) shouldn’t be shocked that these politicians are trying to make themselves looks as good as they can.  Politics has become big business.  If you don’t believe that, then look at how much money is spent to secure a job and just how much money that job ACTUALLY pays.  It’s all about the payoff - which comes after the term is served.  Few politicians are in it for the people.

Next time you see hear a politician, take what she says with a grain of salt.  It is part true, part deceit, and lots of spin.
