There was a pregnant man on Oprah yesterday. I was intrigued and excited about this scientific miracle - until Oprah said “you use to be a girl.” Call me crazy, but if “he” is pregnant and the baby is growing in the uterus that “he” was born with then the hype about a man being pregnant is just wrong.
I admit I didn’t watch the whole show. I don’t agree with the life choices and I didn’t want to subject my children to those choices. Reality is hard enough to deal with even without the craziness that people create for themselves.
The more I think about the situation, the more concerned I am for the child. What kind of stigma will that baby be born into? How confusing will life be for that child? Even the grown-ups that new the “pregnant man” couldn’t complete understand what was going on.
There is a lot more going through my mine - most of which is not politically correct! In the end, another woman is pregnant - it just so happens that she’s added parts along the way that has legally made her a man. Despite the courts, this “pregnant man” is still very much a woman and that means there really isn’t that much to talk about after all.
