It is amazing to me how few people actually understand the election process. Even the “educated folks” are confused about what is going on with this primary. No wonder we still have a process that allows other people to make our decisions – we still aren’t informed enough to handle the process ourselves.

I have to admit that the election process was even more messed up than I imagined. The primary fiasco is enough to make you want to just scrap the current system altogether and start over. Of course the people that wield all the power (the ones with the money and the “super delegate” status) will never give away that power.

The internet may not be good for much these days – but it is educating the electorate. And it is true what they say, knowledge really is power.

There will be a change forced upon the system if people continue to learn what no one has bothered to teach them before. As more voters become educated about the election process and how little power the “people” actually have, there is bound to be an uproar. It’s just too bad that the change won’t happen before this election is a note in the history books.
